Rong Choy is a Singaporean multidisciplinary artist based in Bellevue, Washington. Her practice spans painting, sculpture, interactive installations, and responsive environments exploring agency, wonder, belonging, and the ways small actions shape people and communities.
Working primarily in laser-cut wood, light, sound, and interactive media, she creates sculptural landscapes she calls mindscapes—personal gardens that serve as reflections of inner life. Her practice invites viewers to slow down, look closely, and consider the unseen forces that shape who we are.
Since becoming a mother, Rong's work has increasingly explored participation, play, and the ways children discover themselves through action. Her current body of work, With Our Little Hands, extends this ongoing inquiry, transforming her botanical sculptures into spaces for wonder, exploration, and shared experience.
Originally from Singapore and now based in Bellevue, Washington, Rong is a recovering construction arbitration lawyer and a self-taught artist.
